The NUR's maintainer considers it deprecated, and is looking for a new maintainer. The search hasn't borne fruit so far: https://github.com/nix-community/NUR/issues/755

Even if a maintainer is found, it is a lot of overhead for something we don't use in a lot of places, and it would be convenient to remove it.

home-manager's programs.firefox.policies.ExtensionSettings could substitute for the Firefox addons, downloading direct from AMO instead - not sure if this is ideal though
